Hagen visit 1

Our Feb was really busy with mostly trips. I (Connie) was in Phuket, Thailand (pics will be on website or Facebook), along with 2 trips in Bacolod and then towards the end of Feb, and into the first week of March, we went to Luzon island, to visit our friends, the Hagen's. Needless to say, we didn't get to do much school in Feb, and are having to make up for it in March. We are calling it March Madness!
The pictures below are from our visit with the Hagen family. We flew to Legaspi city (the Allen family's old trotting ground) where we met up with the Hagen's. After picking us up, they took us to a really cool zip line (the boys had never been to one that far up) and then drove an hour or more to where the Hagen's live. We really enjoyed our time with them, and wished we lived closer. I know the boys really wished they lived closer to the wakeboarding place we went to while there also!!

This is a view of Mt. Mayon from the top of the zip line place.

Jamin is always our daredevil, and will usually try anything. If you will notice, there are more pics of him in these 2 posts of the Hagen visit then Jesse, because of that fact.

Can you tell if Jamin liked this?

Our boys had fun playing with these scooters in the house.

The rest of the pics on this particular posts, and the next post "Hagen Visit 2" were all taken while at a really cool place called CamSur Watersports Complex
We started our visit to 'CWC' at their inflatible water park. The kids had a blast, and it was really good exercise.

Jesse wasnt too crazy about this waterslide....it took him some time before he would go down, but he did!

Don't leave me Dad....

Ok....here goes.....it's not really far...it's not really far...

Jen and Steven having fun off the waterslide too!

Robert and Steve playing on the AquaGlide...kinda like a water see-saw.

Everyone had selected a water buddy...Mikayla was Jamin's

There were also water obstacle courses, along with a trampoline.

Zach Hagen and a friend from CWC on the trampoline in the water.

Robert on the top of a blown up iceberg. Just in case you are wondering, Robert's lifejacket is under his water shirt. :)

Hagen Visit 2

The Hagen's go to this park quite often, but we had to start with the basics, of course. We started out at the wench park...just a small pond of water with a pulley system. Jamin body-surfed first and then decided to upgrade from there.

Jesse decided to give body surfing a try, and really like it at first.....then....well....let's just say he gave up trying!

Jesse bodysurfing

Ol' Rob giving wakeboarding a try. Needless to say, he busted it pretty good on one of these tries, and we think he might have broken a rib. He's stubborn and won't go to the dr, but it's getting alittle less sore.

Steve Hagen helping Zach get started....the Hagen kids are really good at this.

Jesse just stuck to playing mud in the pond instead of trying the body surfing again.

After the guys conquered the wench park, then we walked over the wakeboarding pool....and this is what we watched....

No problems, right? We can do that!!! Or at least we tried, minus the jumps and ramps...here is a pic of Jamin with his kneeboard.

Jamin did really well with this....took a few wipe outs, but had a blast!

Jamin decided to upgrade to the wakeboard, but had trouble staying up on it...

Though Rob's side was killing him, it was killing him more to watch his son out on the wakeboards, and he just sit there and watch. He had to try at least one more time. He had a blast, and because I'm a lame brain and got to talking to Jen, I have no footage of his successful attempt at real wakeboarding. Sorry Rob! You do look professional with your board tho!

You want me to do what? You gotta be crazy if you want me to go out there!!!

Kid sized wakeboard

After our 2nd day at the wakeboarding place, the Hagen's took us to a wonderfully hidden hot springs place. There were different levels of pools, and it was so nice to just sit in a big hot bathtub of sorts! It was raining (kinda chilled rain) on us at the same time. I didn't get any pics of the actual hotsprings because I was in them!!! But got a few pics of the water running out of the mountains...this water was frigid!!! The kids kept filling up their water bottles with this water and pouring it on our heads while were we in the springs. brrrrrr!
