Halloween and Homeschool Co-op

We are very blessed to know several homeschooling families here in Cebu, and we have recently decided to meet together twice a month. This has been a great time for all the kids to get together and play with their peers, and an awesome time for the moms to get together and encourage each other through the sometimes difficult homeschooling days. We all love homeschooling, and wouldn't trade it for anything....but there are just some days that you'd like to pull out all your hair. We will also be using this time together to allow the kids to share with their co-op friends different school oral reports/projects, etc., so that they can get used to speaking in front of others.

Below are some pics taken while at one of the co-op houses during their Halloween festivities, along with Halloween pics from our own subdivision.

Jesse is going for the scary/funny look....fitting, huh?

Can you tell our costumes are last minute? We were going to make a mummy costume for Jamin (his choice), but we nixed it at the last minute because it is just too hot to be wrapped up from head to toe in the tropics!! So instead, he is dressed up as a guy from Nepal! Robert had just gotten back from his Nepal trip, and brought all this stuff back!

The kids here really get into trick-or-treating. An American friend of ours introduced it to the subdivision almost 5 years ago, and it has been a hit since!!! They had never trick-or-treated before. This is a picture of some of the 70+ kids meeting at the club house to get judged for Best Costume. Jamin won 3rd prize.
